Scottish-born Leanne has spent the last 20 years in Melbourne, building a loyal clientele. Clients just can’t give up her natural, subtle colour work and her flattering, low-maintenance cuts that work so perfectly with their face shape and hair texture. It’s a knack honed over 25 years in the industry – which means she’s adept at classic work and strong, directional shapes too. Leanne's vision is to have an environmentally aware salon that is welcoming and comfortable for clients and stylists alike.




Chloe specialises in curly hair and dry cutting and is an expert at working with natural texture. Chloe has a wealth of knowledge on textured hair that she loves to share with her clients. She has a knack of complimenting her cuts with the most beautiful, subtle colour work. If you are after a shag-cut or big curls, Chloe is the Stylist to see. In her spare-time you’ll find Chloe painting, crocheting or hosting a dinner party. 




Katie hails from Leeds, Northern England. Over the last thirteen years she has been refining her skills in top salons in the U.K and Sydney. With her love of working with curly hair, subtle soft blondes, rich brunettes and multi-dimensional tones to enhance her clients natural colour, we are delighted that she has decided to put her roots down in Melbourne at Miss G. Katie is an avid traveller, a music and festival lover, she also manages to fit in some rock climbing in her spare time.




Ash has spent the last 13 years of her hairdressing career perfecting her skills around the world. From her home town of Sydney, to working as a hair stylist in Berlin and most recently London, she has decided to make Melbourne her home. Ash brings a wide range of skills to Miss Gertrude that she has added to her portfolio over the years. Colour-wise, Ash loves creating natural blonde highlights for her clients, giving them a soft lived-in regrowth to work with their lifestyle. She is also highly skilled at short haircuts and loves all aspects of cutting from a short 'Twiggy crop' to a modern mullet. In her spare time Ash loves enjoying good food, creative projects like painting/art, is obsessed with music and has an interest in learning to DJ.




Amy is a fan of subtle colour work. She has a natural talent for her craft and a love for creating beautiful balayage and blondes with soft, natural tones. Amy is focused and dedicated to learning as much as she can about hair. With her strong attention to detail, Amy’s styling work is seamless. She loves to experiment with styling from different eras and fashion trends in her work. Most of her inspiration comes from film and tv. In her spare time Amy is usually dining out with friends, buying records for her collection and teaching herself to play guitar. 




Turning from graphic design to hairdressing came naturally for Carmen. The New Zealand-born stylist adores short hair which appeals to her graphic sensibilities and precision. Carmen has a great eye for colour work and is an expert at choosing the perfect colour tones for her clients. She loves working with blondes and is always up for big transformations.




Jens has been working as a hairdresser for more than 30 years. He began his career in Germany, where he trained with Vidal Sassoon. Since then he has worked all over the world, honing his expertise. His particular talents lie in colour work – but he also absolutely loves working with curly hair. When Jens is not at work you'll find him working with his plants, reading books and enjoying a little peace and quiet.




With over ten years in the industry working for a high-end salon, Roxanne (aka Roxy/Rox) has worked her way up from Apprentice to Senior Stylist and then discovered her passion for Salon Management. This was a natural progression for Roxanne as she is so focused on client care. Her approach is to make sure that clients are well informed so that they know that they are in safe hands and to support the team. Although Roxanne thrives on being in a busy salon environment, when she is not in the salon she spends her time watching documentaries, listening to podcasts and looking after her plants.




Tegan moved to Melbourne from Auckland in 2015 and started working at Miss Gertrude while completing her creative writing degree - since then she has become a firm part of the family. Tegan's work ethic and sharp eye for detail mean she's perfectly suited to the busy reception desk, and she loves working with both clients and stylists to make sure that every appointment at Miss G is an enjoyable one.

At home you can usually find her cooking, doing the dishes after cooking, or online shopping to avoid writing her debut novel.
